Container crane has come back to the port. Kemi Shipping has made long term agreement with Polar Lift, part of Havator Group, in order to place port crane to the port of Kemi. Background for this is the agreement with Transatlantic concerning container lifts. Transatlantic will start container feeding from Kemi to Hamburg and Bremerhaven during week 2/2012, containers will be used also in Antwerp and Zeebrugge traffic. The agreement with Havator Group supports the efforts of both companies to be ready for the challenges in mining and energy projects into North Finland. As an example on that were the six windmills via port of Ajos on November to be erected to Simo.
